Michael Ha

Michael has been flying since 2009. With extensive flight instructor experience under Part 141 and Part 61, he specializes in international students and accelerated training courses.

Off the clock: outdoor activities, sound engineering, traveling, and fantasy sports.

Kevin Pryor

Flight Instructor

Native to the LA area, Kevin has been flying since 2016. He fell in love with flying on his intro flight, and as an instructor he looks forward to passing that knowledge on to his students.

Off the clock: golfing, gaming, wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing cards, the beach, and exercising.

Luke Lauriano

Born and raised in Long Beach, Luke has been flying since March 2018. He holds a bachelor’s in Business-Finance from Cal State Long Beach, but left finance to pursue his dream of becoming an airline pilot, and loves teaching students to be safe, competent pilots.

Off the clock: golfing, basketball, surfing, snowboarding, video and board games, exercising, traveling, reading, and writing.

Amanda Villapudua

A flight attendant turned pilot, Amanda began training in 2020 and completed her entire pilot training, from Private to CFI, at Pacific Air Flight School. Having flown for a major airline, she brings a wealth of real-world aviation knowledge to aspiring aviators.

Eric Ramos Cervantes

Eric started flying in 2017, but his passion began young, when his dad took him to airshows and to watch planes take off at John Wayne. He takes pride in his students, teaching every aspect of flying to make them safe, responsible pilots.

Off the clock: paintball, video games, shooting, mountain biking, hiking, and car cruises.

Brandon Hoff

Brandon worked in the telecommunications industry, but his true passion was aviation. He started flying in 2019 and prides himself on teaching students to be safe, capable pilots.

Off the clock: camping, road trips, shooting, cooking, archery, wrestling, and board games.

Evan Phillips

Evan grew up near Seattle in a family of pilots, watching the Blue Angels every summer. After a B.S. in Business–Finance from the University of Denver and work alongside jet engines and airlines, he started his own pilot training in 2021 and now shares that passion with the next wave of aviators.

Off the clock: hockey, camping, running, swimming, skiing and snowboarding, cooking, and traveling.

Blake Snyder

Blake started flying in 2020 while earning a Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight, doing most of his training in Texas. Local to Southern California, he teaches students to be not only safe, but skilled and competent pilots.

Off the clock: playing guitar, video games, and hockey.

Blake Phillips

A lifelong Californian, Blake started flying in 2021 and completed all of his training at Pacific Air. His love of aviation came from his grandfather, a test engineer on the Northrop B-2 Spirit program, and he teaches through real-world experience and challenging environments.

Off the clock: video games, motorsports, working on cars, shooting, and computer building.

Jackie Peterson

Jackie earned her private pilot certificate in high school at 17, then studied at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on academic and athletic scholarships. She graduated first in her class — Chancellor’s Award recipient, class speaker, and Summa Cum Laude — with a B.S. in Aeronautics.

Off the clock: soccer, CrossFit, pickleball, balloon art, board games, and poverty-relief trips to Mexico.

Xavier Hassard-Johnson

Xavier started flying at Pacific Air Flight School in 2022. With a FedEx captain for a father and a flight attendant for a mother, aviation has always been part of his life, and he loves sharing it with future aviators.

Nathan Matt

Nathan started flying in 2023 after a discovery flight over Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint, Idaho. He takes a practical, no-nonsense approach: start from each student’s current knowledge and methodically build new skills flight after flight.
